The moment I found out the Canadian election results, I felt the urge to get Albertan’s signatures QUICKLY and get separation to a referendum.
Then the fear set in that we need to prepare for the divide and conquer tactic that will be coming our way.
It wasn’t long before I heard the horror movie news today of a new Alberta Republican party. *Sigh*
Did conservatives and those on the right not just see why we lost? It’s because THREE PARTIES UNITED for a common goal. The green party didn’t run candidates because they didn’t want to split the vote! And the NDP, well, Jug-Meat got his pension, so he threw his party to help the Liberals.
Here we are now at the part of the horror movie where the white person says “we should split up”. Then, by the end of the movie, everyone is slaughtered and we can all clearly conclude that splitting up was a bad idea.
So, why, ON GOD’S EARTH would we split up at a time like this???
Let me tell you why – because the “leaders” of these factions smell POWER. These men want to lead – they don’t care about long term or big picture.
It’s like Maxime Bernier being fine with a liberal government rather than seeing the dire and throwing his support behind the lesser evil (Conservative) so the vote isn’t split.
No wonder people become jaded and stop voting – because when we finally reach a sweet spot, we put an axe to the chain.
ALL THAT SAID…I *heard* that the ARP is about uniting rather than splitting. I need to hear what they have to say. Feels like i’m still in shock and panic mode from Monday. All that I can promise my fellow Albertans is that I will look objectively at everything that comes out of the woodwork in the upcoming weeks and months.
DISCERNMENT is what we need at a time like this. Liberals/NDP are licking their chops at us right now… The people who will weaken and divide us is who we need to be concerned about…
